The Award-winning Orchestra of the city of Monte Urano was founded in 1877.

ln 1980, the Band played in Vichy, France, where they partici­pated in La Lyre d’Or lnternational Festival. Then they toured Poland twice, playing at the notorious Auschwitz concentration camp and in the Main Square in Krakow, where a memorable performance was held next to the famous Cloth Hall.

ln the 1990s, the Band were featured in big ltalian town events and on national TV shows and were also honored to perform in Mozart’s hometown, Salzburg.

Between 2000-2009, the Band took part in many National Or­chestral Contests, winning First Prize on several occasions, then they performed in Frankfurt (Germany), Budapest (Hun­gary), and Moravske Budejovice (Czech Republic).

ln August 2009, prestigious Sonoma State University invited them to tour the state of California, performing in Rohnert Park near San Francisco.

ln addition, on September 15th, 2012, their team has had the honor of representing their Country by participating in the ΧΧΙΙΙ Festival tourism in the city of Shanghai (China) performing live in front of 200,000 people and a live television throughout China that has exposed to 280 million viewers.

ln June 2018, they performed at Big Dragons Parade in Krakow, Poland. ln July 2022, they participated at the lnternational Wind Band Festival in Felsotarkany, Hungary.

Conductor of the orchestra is Lanfranco Navisse.
